Hi, I'm Pau — a Product Design Lead based in Barcelona with 10+ years designing digital products at Telefónica.
I lead design end-to-end: from fuzzy problem to shipped product. I'm at my best when the challenge is genuinely complex — where user needs, business constraints, and technical reality all pull in different directions, and the job is to find something that actually works for everyone.
My thing is reducing complexity. Not simplifying for the sake of it — but doing the hard work of understanding a messy problem deeply enough that the solution feels obvious. I believe good design should make you feel like the product was built exactly for you, even when millions of people use it.
I balance instinct with evidence. I take user research seriously, but I don't hide behind it. When I've seen enough patterns, I trust my judgment and move. Speed and quality aren't opposites — slow decisions are just a different kind of risk.
Outside of my day job, I build my own products. I'm currently developing two micro-SaaS tools in underserved Spanish-speaking markets, which means I think about design, product, and business as one thing — not three separate departments.

My goal in this stage has been to lead the design vision for the next generation of content at Movistar Plus+. In a constantly evolving landscape, my focus is on transforming traditional television into an interactive, personalized experience through AI and new consumption mechanics.
Senior Product Designer - Video & Entertainment Innovation @Telefónica
2019 - 2022
Designed products under high technical and business uncertainty for Telefónica's B2C market. I built the third-party app ecosystem for Movistar+ from scratch — a platform with 30+ integrated partners shipped in under 6 months. I also conceptualized AR/VR and social TV experiences, and led the redesign of Vivo Play's mobile experience in Brazil, improving user recurrence and VoD conversion rates.
Product Designer - Movistar Home @Telefónica
2018 - 2019
Designed Telefónica's first AI-powered hardware device end-to-end — from zero to market in 4 months. I defined the OS architecture, built the component library, and designed every layer of the experience: touch interactions, voice UI, home screen, and core apps including communications, radio, and smart lights. Shipping a hardware product this fast required ruthless prioritization and tight collaboration with engineering from day one.
Product Designer - Mi Movistar @Tuenti
2017 - 2018
Designed native iOS and Android apps — and a web app — for a suite of Telefónica products operating across 7 countries. I led the design of a new modular e-commerce section built around loyalty, engagement, and upselling — a scalable platform that worked across all Telefónica customer bases. Shipping across multiple markets and brands simultaneously meant thinking in systems, not screens.

2015 - 2017
Joined as a visual designer on Firefox Hello — a co-browsing web product built jointly by Telefónica and Mozilla. Over the course of the project I grew into a broader design role and ended up owning the relationship with Mozilla's design team. A formative experience in working across organizations with very different cultures and moving fast on a product with millions of potential users.
